"I came in barely able to name what I was feeling. A year later, I recognise myself in ways I didn't think were possible anymore. Elara never pushed — she just made space, over and over, until I could fill it myself."

Where you are
allowed to be
exactly yourself.
You carry so much — for your family, your work, the version of yourself the world expects. Here, you set it down. Botanica Therapy offers evidence-based care rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the understanding that healing is not linear.
Healing grows
from safe ground.
I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic awareness, and attachment theory — not as rigid frameworks, but as a living map we adapt to where you are right now.
Internal Family Systems
We meet the different 'parts' of you — the protector, the critic, the wounded child — with curiosity rather than judgment.
Attachment Theory
Understanding how early bonds shaped your nervous system — so you can consciously rewrite the patterns that no longer serve you.
The Therapeutic Relationship
Research consistently shows the quality of our relationship is the greatest predictor of change. I take that seriously.
Somatic Awareness
Emotions live in the body. We slow down enough to hear what your nervous system has been trying to say.
Cognitive Reframing
Gently examining the stories you carry — not to dismiss them, but to ask if they still belong to you.
Mindfulness Practices
Cultivating presence as an antidote to worry — rooted in what's actually here, rather than what might be.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."— Carl Rogers, On Becoming a Person
A place
for every season
of your story.
Each offering is thoughtfully sized to meet you where you are — whether you're in crisis, in growth, or somewhere quietly in between.

In-person · Telehealth · 50 minRelationship Patterns
Why do we keep ending up here? Exploring the relational blueprints drawn in childhood.

The body keeps the score. Somatic work invites you to notice, move with, and ultimately release what language alone can't reach. Particularly helpful after trauma or prolonged stress.

What grows
in this room.
"I was deeply sceptical of therapy. My partner suggested it after our third crisis in a year. What I found was someone who helped me understand why I do the things I do — not to blame me, but to actually change."
"After my burnout, I couldn't imagine going back to anything. Elara helped me figure out what was worth reclaiming and what I needed to let go of. The somatic work in particular changed the way I live in my own body."
"Telehealth made it possible. I live two hours from Portland and would never have had access to this quality of care otherwise. I didn't lose anything by being on video — the safety was there from the very first session."
Questions worth
asking before
you begin.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider. I provide monthly superbills that many clients use to seek partial reimbursement from their insurance carriers — typically 50–80% for those with out-of-network benefits. I recommend calling your insurer before our first session to understand your specific coverage.
What does a first session look like?
The first session is about getting to know each other. You're not expected to share everything — or anything you're not ready for. I'll ask some gentle questions about what brought you here, what you're hoping for, and what matters to you. You leave knowing whether it feels right.
Do you offer telehealth sessions?
Yes. I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions for clients throughout Oregon. Most services are available both in-person and via telehealth. Somatic and intensive work is in-person only.
How long does therapy typically last?
There's no universal answer. Some people find what they need in 12–16 sessions. Others prefer longer-term work that evolves over years. We check in regularly about whether the pacing and direction are still right for you.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for 48 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel without charge. Late cancellations and no-shows are billed at the full session rate. Life happens — please reach out if something comes up.
How much do sessions cost?
Individual sessions are $195 for 50 minutes. Intensive half-day sessions are $595. I hold a small number of reduced-fee spots for clients with demonstrated financial need — please mention this when you reach out and we'll talk openly about what works.
